SMEDA One Window - SOW

SMEDA has an outreach across the country and is been in contact with the SMEs through its various business support programs and initiatives. Therefore, SOW initiative aims at linking the SMEs and Start-ups primarily with the national regulatory authorities for compliance of regulatory requirements. Majority of Start-ups and new ventures lost their energy and passion due to regulatory impediments and hectic process of business registration. To address the issue, SMEDA is launching a unique service with the name SOW to provide one window solution to start-ups and SMEs. SOW is a concept to assist business community in establishing their own business across Pakistan. The program is being funded by National Business Development Program (NBDP) which is a Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) of SMEDA, under which each SME will be subsidized up to Rs. 25,000 in lieu of professional fees.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

SMEDA One Window (SOW) program aims to reduce the start-up costs and increase the time efficiency through its business concierge, professional and technical services. SOW provides hassle-free, on-demand services from business idea validation to business registration so as to enable SMEs to fully focus on their business operations. SOW will act as a single window solution for aspiring start-ups and SMEs in order to establish and streamline their business operations in Pakistan. SMEDA has well trained, proactive team of professionals and experts having direct access to all relevant government departments. Services through SOW are specifically customized according to the requirements of local SMEs.
